First name: Jolee
Last Name: Bindo
Age/DOB: Born in 3,956 BBY. In his seventies.
Sex: Male
Place of Birth: Unknown, but after moving around a lot in life, he crashed in the Shadowlands of Kashyyk and stayed there, befriending the Wookies.
Likes: Taking a risk, being realistic, and yet not hopeless.
Dislikes: The Sith, and the Jedi Order's view on things such as emotions. Jolee believes that emotions are to be controlled as a Jedi, not blocked like the Order says, or to let the emotions control the person, as the Sith do.
Jedi Class: Consular
Strengths: Jolee lets his emotions guide him, unlike most Jedi. This makes him less of a light character, and more of a "grey." Though he completely opposes the Sith, he's still not completely light-sided, and therefore has some power that most Jedi would not use. Being a Consular, he is better with the Force than with a lightsaber.
Weaknesses: Not as good with a lightsaber as many, he never formally moved beyond the rank of Padawan before he left the Order.
Personality: Jolee seems like a grumpy old man at first, but really, he is wise and caring. He wants peace. He has a very sarcastic sense of humor.
History: When he was a Padawan, Jolee was often thought of as reckless and brash, on account of his tendency to disobey the Jedi Council in order to do what was right.
For example, when a system of planets was cut off from receiving supplies by their own king, Jolee and a friend took to smuggling in the things they needed to the helpless people. Eventually, his ship was shot down on the planet by a woman named Nayama. The two later married, even though marriage was frowned upon the Jedi.
Jolee found out that Nayama was strong in the Force, and trained her, even though he was only a Padawan himself, and the Jedi Council didn't want him to.
During the war with Exar Kun, Nayama fell to the dark side. She tried to convert Jolee, but he resisted. They eventually fought in a lightsaber duel. Jolee brought Nayama to her knees, but found that he couldn't kill his own wife, and let her go. Nayama then went on to kill a lot of Jedi in the war, and Jolee was ashamed. In the last battle of the war, she was killed.
The Jedi Council did not punish Jolee for this. They said he'd learned his lesson the hard way, and wanted to promote him to Jedi Knight. Because of this, Jolee lost faith in the wisdom of the Council, and left them.
Jolee started wandering the universe, and even took up sumggling again for a while, but he eventually crashed on Kashyyyk, and stayed there, exploring the Shadowlands for the next two decades. When he first got there, the Wookiees thought Jolee was a kind forest spirit. They called him the "hairless god", and left gifts outside his home, until the Jolee told them the truth. Jolee remained a friend of the Wookiees though, and helped them protect the Shadowlands and its wildlife. He is currently still there...
